Totaling 16,650 hectares, the GEFA and Fisher claims are located adjacent to the North Arrow Minerals Pikoo diamond discovery.

As part of the program, the company collected 325 samples of glacial till which will help define kimberlite indicator mineral (KIM) trains in the potential kimberlite targets on the property.

Samples have been sent to Saskatchewan Research Council where they will be processed to identify minerals representing diamond bearing kimberlites.

Results obtained will help in evaluating potential kimberlite targets for exploration program.

Alto Ventures said: "Kimberlite indicator minerals from glacial tills have been used successfully in locating diamond-bearing kimberlites across Canada.

"In the Pikoo area, the KIMs have been particularly useful in defining drill targets that resulted in North Arrow’s discovery of kimberlites in 9 of 10 holes drilled in 2013 including five holes that contain diamonds."

Earlier this year, Alto agreed to buy 60% stake in the GEFA claims by paying $60,000 in two years and spending $750,000 on exploration at the property in 30 months.

The company also agreed to issue its 25,000 shares and pay $18,000 to acquire Fisher claims.
