The orders are valued at approximately $270,000. The orders for equipment were received from international energy transportation and distribution company, medical manufacturing company and a local government transit authority.

These power generation systems are used as a back up and provide emergency power during times of electrical grid failure or emergency.

Thomas Black, president of Titan Energy Worldwide, said: We are very pleased that Fortune 5000 companies continue to select Titan for their power generation needs. For example, new orders are going out to one of the nation’s largest medical technology companies and another to one of Canada’s largest gas distribution companies.

The power potential of these back up generation units is becoming a growing component of the country’s electrical power system, what some are now calling the Smart Grid. These back up systems support companies not only in time of need, but also during peak rate periods and in the ordinary course of operations. In fact it is now estimated by the U.S. Department of Energy that our country utilizes less than 5% of the potential for creating electrical energy through distributed generation.
