The firm stated that, by 2013, it will have more than 50 fuel stations in St Petersburg working under the brands of TNK and BP.
TNK-BP noted that St Petersburg will be the second region in Russia after Moscow where it will develop a network of fuel stations under both the brands. TNK-BP is also carrying on negotiations for buying a number of independent fuel operators in Moscow.
TNK-BP is planning to purchase plots in St Petersburg for the construction of new fuel stations and is also seeking to buy existing fuel stations.
Apart from Moscow and St Petersburg, the firm is also seriously considering the development of a retail outlet network in Kiev, Ukraine.
