Torchlight Energy and its partner Bayshore will spud the vertical well to a total depth of 8,700ft which will help the company evaluate Georgetown formation for future production potential at a minimal expense.
The partners will investigate the prospective zones one they are logged in order to determine the best completion methods and pay zones.
Torchlight and Bayshore are contemplating that the well will be a vertical completion in the Buda zone but may change upon proper evaluation of the logs.
Bayshore selected the well site has and is currently working with vendors to schedule and begin begin drilling in the first quarter of 2013.
