The value of the contract was not disclosed.

The contract was awarded as a part of $34bn Ichthys LNG Project which is a joint venture between INPEX, Total, Tokyo Gas, Osaka Gas, Toho Gas and Chubu Electric.

As per the terms of the contract, Transfield Worley will gather, validate, and compile project management and maintenance data for INPEX which can be incorporated into the company’s asset management and integrity processes for the Ichthys LNG project.

Transfield Worley a 50% joint venture company between Transfield Services and WorleyParsons will deliver project management services using WorleyParsons’ expertise, whereas Hofincons, a wholly owned subsidiary Transfield Services will deliver the maintenance, material engineering services, and maintenance data preparation and management services for the project.

The first of the three phased four year contract begins in November 2012.

INPEX operated Ichthys LNG Project is expected to produce 8.4 million tons of LNG and 1.6 million tons of LPG annually and about 100,000 barrels of condensate per day.
