Under the three-year agreement, TRC expects to be engaged in several projects each valued in the $10 million to $20 million range.

According to the company, the projects will enable Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) to meet its expected electric load growth and maintain reliable electricity service to its expanding customer base.

Consistent with the industry trend, PG&E is expected to spend more than $3 billion up to 2011 on transmission infrastructure improvements and upgrades.

Recently in October 2008, TRC announced that it had been awarded a $3 million contract to serve as the engineering consultant on the Keene Road Substation Project for the Bangor Hydro-Electric Company (Bangor Hydro).

Under the contract, TRC will perform the detailed engineering design and specifications associated with the substation construction. The 345kV substation will accommodate a control house, breakers, all the necessary electrical equipment and supports.
