The 20-year deal also includes Triton supplying YXGC with graphite from its Mozambique, Madagascar, Malawi and Tanzania operations.

The minimum graphite sale price assured under the deal is $1,000 per ton, subject to applicable market price in the future.

The deal is subject to regulatory approvals and Triton commissioning a processing plant or plants and achieving commercial production of material.

YXGC chairman Yue Bin said: "The long term supply of high quality TMG will not only allow our company to develop competitively priced products for the global markets but will also contribute, indirectly, to the long term economic growth of Mozambique."

In a separate statement, Triton said it partnered with AMG Mining for exploration, identification and development of graphite occurrences in the Ancuabe district in Mozambique.
