The plant, which will be called the Istanbul Wind Power Plant, will generate 770,800,000 kilowatt-hours annually, reports Daily Sabah.
This facility will feature 88 wind turbines, of which 64 turbines will be capable of generating 2MW while the remaining would generate 3MW of power.
This would add up to 200MW of installed electricity generation capacity.
The plant will come up with an investment of around $558m. About 30 employees will be appointed for the preparation and construction work while 15 will look into the operational aspect.
The energy consumption of an average family in Isatanbul is around 230 kilowatt-hours every month.
The turbines will be imported and will be dug in 100-meter-long and 3-meter-deep pits. Once the steel and concrete work is completed, the turbines will be erected by cranes.
