Located in Ontario, the plant will use Canadian vegetable oils such as canola and soybean as the primary inputs to produce ASTM D6751 grade biodiesel.

A renewable, clean-burning and organic-based fuel – biodiesel can be a substitute as well as compliment petroleum based fuels.

TWD Technologies Principal Scott Wilson said, "Biodiesel is a renewable fuel that is certain to be a key part of the world’s energy supply solution."

The company provides complete engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) support to the project that is expected to help improve Canada’s fuel supply scenario.

Great Lakes Biodiesel plant will be operational in the fall of 2012.
