With the smart grid tools from Efacec ACS, the US city of Griffin can handle data faster and more efficiently than traditional methods using the outage management solution.
Built on a real-time SCADA platform, the solution is expected to improve procedures and tracking capabilities.
In addition, the PRISM Real-time OMS will incorporate mapping and visualization tools to meet the complex needs of utility outage management.
City of Griffin operations coordinator Kim Morton said the company will provide its customers enhanced outage response and service.
"The PRISM OMS and IVR will seamlessly merge with the existing Efacec ACS PRISM SCADA System," Morton added.
"This fully integrated solution means that Griffin can better respond to outages and to customer calls without having to manage separate systems."
