Investments into the three-year applied research projects will look to achieve improvements in the performance of CSP technologies and drive down costs.

Commenting on the investments that will be spread across 13 states of the US, Energy Secretary Steven Chu said these investments are to help US companies build cutting-edge solar technologies enabling them to compete globally while diversifying the nation’s energy portfolio.
