The company halted the operations at the coal mine on 31 May 2012 and suspended the deliveries after the leak of the hazardous carbon monoxide gas was reported.
Vale is fixing the issues that caused the closure and will slowly increase the production at the mine and restart delivers, reported Reuters.
The company is expected to produce only 82,000t of the metallurgical coal in the second quarter at the Carborough Downs mine when compared to the 325,000t in the first quarter.
