The MoUs represent around 29,000 tons of annual production from the company’s Uley graphite facilities in South Australia.

Valence said that the MoUs provide it with committed contracts for delivery of flake graphite year on year as well as a defined collar price subject to final product/grade qualifications.

"With these MOUs Valence has achieved diversification across regions and industries through to differing types of customers.

"This is consistent with the market engagement and market segmentation strategies pursued by the company over the last 12 months."

Valence is set to begin production from Phase I in the current quarter following the receipt of regulatory approvals. Phase I graphite manufacturing facilities have a combined annual capacity of 14,000 tons.

With the latest development, the company moves ahead in the feasibility assessment for its Phase II expansion, which includes a new open pit and an expanded plant capacity of up to 50,000 to 60,000 tons.
