The company said that the sampling continues to expand and develop targeting at two prospects – Salerno zone and Crystal zone.

At the Salerno zone, sampling and mapping yielded values of up to 24.5% Cg over 1m in graphite-rich prospects within gneissic marbles.

The horizon is believed to extend around 1,800m to the west and is up to 60 to 120m wide.

Further sampling suggested possible parallel zones located to the north of the current sampling; however, assays from these samples are pending.

At the Crystal zone, graphite was identified throughout a 120m wide corridor within a gneissic clastic metasediment and a gneissic marble.

Surface chip sampling has identified +1% Cg throughout the zone, including 2.9% Cg over 7m and 2.5% Cg over 4m, with additional graphite anomaly in sampling approximately 250m to the south and northeast of the current sampling.

Valterra Resource said: "Trenching and further surface reconnaissance is warranted to upgrade this zone for drill targeting."

The Bobcaygeon property is located in Precambrian calcitic marble of the Grenville province with high-grade graphite horizons occurring on the Discovery and Salerno zones.
