Vattenfall DanTysk

This turbine is the first of 80 to be installed at the site, while the remaining are expected to take a further five months to install, depending on the weather.

Vessel Pacific Osprey, which can carry up to 11 turbines each trip, is performing the installation work.

Vattenfall said that with the installation of the first turbine, the final installation phase of DanTysk has been started.

The DanTysk wind farm is a joint venture between Vattenfall Europe Windkraft and Stadtwerke München.

With 80 wind turbines in total, the wind farm will provide up to 400,000 homes with green energy.

In February 2014, DanTysk Offshore Wind has awarded a contract to VSMC, a joint venture between VolkerWessels and Boskalis, for completing the installation and termination of infield cables for the wind farm.
