The transaction covers all VHP operations including the combined heat and power plants Zeran, Siekierki and Pruszkow as well as the Kaweczyn and Wola heat generation plants.
Vattenfall signed an agreement with PGNiG in August last year for the sale of VHP.
The company said the sale is an important step in implementing its new strategic direction, focusing on three core markets of Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands, as well as strategic projects in certain other countries.
