The supply order forms a part of EDF Renewable Energy’s master supply agreement that was announced in September 2013 for multiple US projects with a total installed capacity of around 1,174MW.

EDF Renewable Energy executive vice president Ryan Pfaff said that this order represents another important milestone under the Master Supply Agreement between EDF Renewable Energy and Vestas, and supports the company’s near-term wind project construction program in the Texas Panhandle, resulting in new local jobs, taxes and other forms of economic development.

"EDF Renewable Energy values its relationship with Vestas, and looks forward to continued collaboration under the MSA going forward," added Pfaff.

As per the agreed terms, Vestas will supply V100-2.0 MW turbines for wind power projects that are located in Texas.

The wind turbines delivery will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2015 and will enter into operation the same year.

Scope of the order also includes a multi-year Active Output Management (AOM) 5000 service agreement for five years, under which the company will provide VestasOnline surveillance system that remotely controls and monitors the turbines and predicts potential wear-and-tear issues.
