The company will deliver, install and commission 25 units of the V80-2MW wind turbine at the project site.

The contract also includes a VestasOnline Business SCADA system and a six-year service agreement.

The commissioning of the wind turbines is expected to begin in October next year.

The power project will generate enough electricity to power approximately 37,000 homes and avoid more than 75,000 tons of CO2 emmissions per year.

Vestas Northern Europe president Klaus Mortensen said that the V80-2MW turbine is designed to optimize high-wind sites, which makes it well positioned for the Camster wind farm.
