Under the contract, Vestas will provide 21 units of V112-3MW wind turbines for the power project located near Lowell.

The order includes delivery and commissioning and a 15-year service and maintenance agreement.

Delivery is scheduled for mid-2012 and commissioning is expected by the end of next year.

The V112-3MW features GridStreamer technology that provides high, stable plant output.

The service agreement includes Vestas’ Active Output Management 4000 maintenance program, that includes all planned and unplanned maintenance services along with continuous remote monitoring and surveillance of the project via the VestasOnline SCADA system.

Once completed, the Kingdom Community facility will generate enough electricity to power nearly 24,000 Vermont homes.
