Under the contract, Vestas will deliver and install the turbines, which have a hub height of 157 meters, to an unnamed wind farm in the country. Besides, the firm has won 15-year Active Output Management 4000 (AOM4000) service contract for the wind farm.
The turbine delivery will commence in late 2017 and the operations will start in mid 2018. After the commencement of operations at the wind farm, Vestas’ total installed capacity in Thailand is expected to increase to more than 300MW.

This sale underlines our proven track record for low-wind conditions in the region as well as the strength of our low cost of energy and business case certainty that the customers are demanding.”
Earlier this month, Vestas received an order to supply 123 of its V136-3.45MW that amount to 424MW, for a wind project in Mexico.
The order has been placed by Zuma Energía for its Parque Eólico Reynosa project. This wind project will be located in the northeastern state of Tamaulipas, Mexico. This project is considered to be one of the largest wind projects in Latin America.
