Scope of work covers the supply, installation and commissioning of six V117-3.0 MW and nine V117-3.3 MW wind turbines at the plants in Basilicata.

Delivery of the wind turbines, which will become operational by 2014-end, is slated for the third quarter.

The two wind power plants are expected to generate more than 140,000MWh of clean energy annually, which will be enough to cater to the residential electricity consumption of more than 120,000 people in Italy.

The contract also includes a VestasOnline Business SCADA system as well as a ten-year AOM 5000 service agreement.

Asja Ambiente Italia CEO Alessandro Casale said, "We look forward to the completion of the wind power plants, whose renewable energy capacity adds up to the more than 170 MW already installed and fully operational worldwide."
