Under the contract, Vestas will deliver its 17 V112-3MW turbines for the project in the second quarter of 2014. Commissioning is expected in the third quarter of 2014.
The scope of the contract includes delivery, installation and commissioning of the turbines, a VestasOnline Business SCADA system and a 17 year active management output 4000 service agreement.
Vestas South America vice president Miguel Picardo Troyano said that this order from Fingano contributes to strengthening the company’s position on the Uruguayan market where it installed 80% of the capacity in 2012.
"In 2013, we have signed orders totaling 130MW supporting our strategy placing a solid footprint on this important market and it is a pleasure for us to announce another V112-3MW order in the country," Troyano added.
"We look forward to working in a close partnership with Fingano and continuing to develop the excellent wind resources in Uruguay."
