The Danish manufacturer will deliver V126 3.45MW machines to the 72.6MW Champagne Picardie project, V117 3.45MW hardware to the 19.8MW La Carnoye wind farm and V90 2MW units to the 20MW Bois de Belfays project,

Turbine delivery is expected to take place in the second quarter of 2017.

The Bois de Belfays deal includes a 20-year active output management 4000 service agreement, while Champagne Picardie and La Carnoye include similar deals for two years.

Vestas said the service agreements will optimize wind turbine performance and improve the overall productivities of the three wind farms.

Vestas Mediterranean president Marco Graziano said: “EDF EN’s new orders show that our partnership is solid and highlight how Vestas’ versatile product portfolio includes wind solutions for sites across all wind classes.

“We are very pleased that the orders also see EDF EN adding the V126-3.45 MW to their broad turbine portfolio.”

The order is part of Vestas and EDF Énergies Nouvelles’ Master Supply Agreement which includes onshore wind turbine installations in Europe and US for the period 2016 – 2019. At present, Vestas about 3.14GW globally and 296MW in France.

In addition to France deal, Vestas has recently received a 180MW turbine order from Australian customer Mt Emerald Wind Farm, a subsidiary of RATCH Australia

The order includes V112-3.45 MW and V117-3.45 MW turbines and a 15 year Active Output Management 4000 service contract. Details about the number of turbines were not disclosed.
