The deal with an unnamed Polish private investor requires Vestas to deliver, install, and commission 12 of its V112 3MW turbines.

The company expects to deliver the turbines during the third and fourth quarter of 2015. The project also includes a five-year Active Output Management (AOM) 4000 service contract.

Vestas Northern Europe president Klaus Steen Mortensen said: "We are proud to be chosen to supply turbines for this project. With market-leading technology, Vestas seeks to maximise value for our customer through low cost of energy, business case certainty and being easy to work with."

In December 2014, Vestas secured a contract from Poland-based Green Bear to deliver 12 V112-3.0 MW turbines for a wind power project in Radzyn.

Vestas expects to deliver the turbines in the second quarter of 2015 with commissioning planned to be completed in the third quarter of 2015.

Vestas has delivered about 570 wind turbines to the Polish market, totalling about 1.2GW.

The company has more than 30% market share of total installations in Poland.

Vestas has delivered wind energy in 73 countries. Wind power from the company’s 52,700 wind turbines presently reduces carbon emissions by more than 60 million tons a year.
