The first phase of the project included 19 wind mills that accounts for about 3% of the Dominican Republic’s power capacity and provides electricity to nearly 90,000 families on the island.
EGE Haina and the Energetic Consortium of Punta Cana are jointly developing and operating the wind project.
Upon completion, the project will generate over 10% of the country’s power capacity.
