Huyndai Engineering and Construction Company (HEC), a South Korean contractor, handed over the plant to the company, according to saigon-gpdaily.com.vn.
The plant is located on an area of 16 hectares, which has a capacity of 150,000 tons a year.
The propylene obtained from the Dung Quat Oil Refinery is used for making PP beads to manufacture household plastic products.
Till date, the plant has sold almost the 12,500 tons of beads it produced.
The plant is calculated to yield a total turnover of $170m-200m a year after it gets stabilized.
The PVN has tasked Binh Son Oil Refining and Petrochemical Company to manage and operate the plant as a part of Dung Quat Oil Refinery.
