The Mineral Resource estimate at Kiaka, which is located 140km south-east of Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso, a collaboration between SRK Consulting UK and Volta personnel.
High-grade mineralization at the Kiaka South Area contains proven and probable mineral reserves of 126.08 million tons at a diluted grade of 0.96g/t Au for 3.89 million oz of gold.
The project includes measured and indicated reserves of 117.42 million tons @ 1.07g/t Au for 4,029,000oz and inferred resources of 29.96 million tons @ 1.00g/t Au for 1,000,000oz.
Volta Resources president and CEO Kevin Bullock stated that the company has also initiated an investigation into the Kiaka central area.
"This would enhance the optionality of the deposit whereby an alternative staged approach to construction can be considered," he added.
