With a 27 MW capacity, the project is located in Vila Acre, in the Areia Branca municipality, next to some of Voltalia’s existing facilities. It will benefit from synergies with those power plants: construction will immediately follow the completion of ongoing building works and the new facility will use the same transmission line Voltalia built in 2014.
Under the terms of the contract, production will start in November 2018 at the latest, when the 20- year electricity sales contract comes into effect.
This new project adds to Voltalia’s strong presence in the area, where it has tied long-term relationships with the local population.
