The power project will be delivered for Saudi Arabian cement manufacturer Hail Cement and will provide electricity for the customer’s own industrial use.
Under the turnkey contract, Wartsila will supply seven 20V32 generating sets, with a total capacity of about 52MW.
The engines will run on heavy fuel oil and can switch to light fuel oil as a back-up fuel.
Delivery of the equipment is scheduled during 2012, and construction of the plant is expected to take about 15 months to complete.
