WPPI Energy, a regional power company with 51 consumer-owned utility members serving the US customers, offers the hosted AMI service.
The EnergyAxis system, which Whitehall has selected through WPPI, has mesh technology which is self-configuring, self-healing and self-optimizing.
Whitehall Electric Utility city administrator Tina Sass commented, "By enrolling in WPPI’s hosted EnergyAxis® AMI service, we will have reduced upfront costs in IT hardware and software, and have access to an MDM system at a fraction of the cost of purchasing our own."
