The power projects, each with a capacity of 10MW, are Clean Breeze, Cloudy Ridge, Settlers Landing, Snowy Ridge and Grey Highlands.

Under the deal, Premier Renewable Energy will assume all costs to develop, construct and operate the power projects.

All the five projects were awarded power contracts under the Ontario Power Authority Feed-in Tariff program in April 2010.

A total investment of about $150m will be needed to construct these projects, which are expected to generate enough energy to power approximately 12,500 homes every year.
