As per the order, Senvion will supply, install and commission 20 turbines for upcoming four wind parks in Austria.

The supply will include four 3.4MW turbines for the Poysdorf-Wilfersdorf V wind farm, four 3.2MW turbines for WP Dürnkrut II wind farm, two 2MW turbines for repowering Hipples II project along with ten 3.4MW turbines for repowering the Prinzendorf III wind farm.

The supply order also includes long-term service contracts for the operations and maintenance of the wind turbines.

The wind power facilities in Poysdorf will feature wind turbines with 160m of hub height and a rotor diameter of 140m.

Out of the total order, the installation of 6 new turbines at Dürnkrut II and Hipples II wind farms along with seven new turbines will be installed at Windpark Kreuzstetten IV will take place next year.

In 2019, four new wind turbines will be installed at the Poysdorf and Wilfersdorf wind farms. The 10 wind turbines at the Prinzendorf III wind farm are scheduled for installation in 2022 and it is dependent on corresponding delivery quota and planned grid expansion.

As per Windkraft Simonsfeld, out of the company's total wind turbine portfolio of 78 in the Weinviertel, 22 are from Senvion (formerly REpower).

Windkraft Simonsfeld Technology head Markus Winter said: "We are delighted that we will continue the good partnership of the past five years with SENVION, and we also expect the new generation of plants to be as stable and profitable as in the past.”
