The turbines are mounted on the southeast and northeast corners of the new three-story, 60ft tall 1.3 million square foot expansion, and the installations were made possible through a federal grant designed to showcase renewable energy technologies.

Destiny US is designed to be a worldwide model for sustainability through the use of a variety of green technologies, and has been pre-certified at the LEED Gold level, a designation that represents the second highest level of green building practice under the US Green Building Council’s standards.

Each unit is expected to produce up to 3500kWh of power per year based on the available wind speed.
