The $2m contract calls for equipment installation, including precision alignment of the center-line between steam turbine and turbo-generator, besides providing final connection of essential services for operation of each turbine, rechecking all critical dimensions during the start-up and commissioning phase of the units.

The completion of the contract work will enable smooth start-up of the plant and reduce risk associated with the operation of high-speed rotating equipment.

ARB president Tim Healy said that the Mojave solar project is high-profile project for ARB and California as it will help the state to secure its goal of one-third of the energy needs from renewable sources by 2020.
