The retrofit involves over 600 fixture and lamps that are being converted to LEDs in hallways, entry ways, stairwells and public areas including restrooms, gym, laundry room, maintenance room areas and closets.

LED product types to be installed include stairwell fixtures, MR16 lamps, recessed fixtures, LED tubes, hallway sconces, plus 1×4, 2×2 and 2×4 Titanium troffers. In most areas the lighting runs 24/7 at full brightness.

Mehrdad Ghalebi, Xeleum president stated, "We are very happy that La Quinta Inn & Suites in Danbury has selected Xeleum products for its conversion from fluorescent, halogen and incandescent lighting to LEDs." He added "Although this conversion involves a wide variety of our lamps, tubes and fixtures, we fully expect the installation to be straightforward with all lighting fully operational in the very near future."

Scott Stuart, Director of Operations stated, "Once these new LEDs are fully installed, we are expecting our lighting energy usage to be reduced by over 50%, resulting in a payback period of about 22 months. We are projecting a positive monthly cash flow even through the finance period and a five year savings of over $308,000. Additional benefits include far better illumination in these public and storage areas as well as not having to worry about changing lamps or lighting fixtures for a very long time."
